Strategy+Style Marketing Group Expands Client Mix to Include Entertainment, Office Clients

Also returns to The Outlets at Mississippi

MONTVILLE, N.J. (May 17, 2023) — Long renowned and honored for its work in helping retail real estate destinations and brands connect and grow, Strategy+Style Marketing Group is now expanding its client base, inking new contracts with franchised entertainment and the office sector, even as it continues to serve its core retail real estate clients, announced Karen E. Fluharty, Founding Partner and Chief Strategist.

In recent months, the strategic consulting and marketing firm has signed three new clients: the new owners of Monster Mini Golf family entertainment and CBRE, manager of the Park Avenue office campus in Florham Park, New Jersey to provide strategic oversight and marketing services. In addition, the firm is once again working with The Outlets of Mississippi, in Jackson, MS, which it helped to launch 10 years ago.

“Retail marketing has long known the importance of strategic communications and building community,” said Fluharty, a multiple award-winning industry leader with more than three decades of real estate marketing experience. “Now, other sectors are realizing they must do so, too. And that’s what we’ve been doing for decades.”

Strategy+Style Marketing Group’s consultancies include branding; marketing strategy; digital services including website development, content creation, design, social media, loyalty programs and more; creation of custom technology to deliver brand content; destination marketing and placemaking; media planning and buying; branding; and research and market analytics.

Called upon to create the infrastructure that will allow Monster Mini Golf to scale, Strategy+Style Marketing Group has reinvented the branding, marketing materials and digital touch points for the franchised family entertainment group. Using its vast knowledge of appropriate growth markets and deep landlord relationships, Strategy+Style Marketing Group is creating a strategy that will allow Monster Mini Golf to acquire new franchisees and locations for years to come.

“An affordable alternative to an amusement park, Monster Mini Golf is poised for expansion as consumers seek experiences,” Fluharty said. “As retail landlords move toward this growth sector, we’re on the cutting edge of putting best marketing practices into creating identities for these entertainment complexes while offering guidance on site selection and real estate partnerships.”

Rebranding and reconnecting are also at the heart of Strategy+Style Marketing Group’s task at the office complex Park Avenue at Morris County, located at 100-600 Campus Drive in Florham Park, New Jersey. CBRE has retained the firm to provide tenant communications, community engagement, CRM and digital programming.

“The post-pandemic era has redefined the relationship between office space and its users,” Fluharty observed. “Now, offices must establish an identity and foster a relationship with all who work there, and we excel at creating community for our clients. We’re looking forward to doing so here.”

Meanwhile, Strategy+Style Marketing Group is returning to Outlets at Mississippi, a property Fluharty and her team advised at its opening in 2013, to provide new branding, leasing and communications strategies to drive net operating income (NOI) in an ever-evolving market.

“As markets and valuations change, a property’s 10th anniversary is the perfect time to re-evaluate all core strategies,” Fluharty said. “Spectrum Capital, the project’s owner, knows that we’re the industry experts in driving retail real estate NOI through data-driven marketing, branding and placemaking. We have always been at the forefront of combining new technologies and methods with core real estate marketing principles to optimize the value of assets, and it’s exciting to revisit this property.”

This is an extraordinary time in the real estate industry, and for Strategy+Style Marketing Group, Fluharty said.

“The strategies we’ve used over our 30 years of experience in marketing retail real estate and brands are now being applied to other sectors of the industry,” she said. “All real estate is now interconnected and interdependent, requiring properties to forge relationships with their users. That’s what we do best.”
